On International Women's Day, the Formula Woman Nations Cup was officially unveiled amidst a backdrop of excitement and anticipation at The Strand, Palm Jumeirah, Dubai.  


Spearheaded by an esteemed panel of trailblazing women, the event showcased the convergence of empowerment and the future for women in motorsports.  


Among the luminaries were Dr. Suaad Al Shamsi, the pioneering first female Emirati aircraft engineer, alongside leading Formula Woman Drivers, Manisha Kelkar and Alana Carter and FWNC sponsorships lead Charlotte McGing. Guiding the proceedings with finesse was Kubi Springer, recognized as the Global Consultant of the Year 2022. Over 130 attendees bore witness to this historic moment, as the future of women in motorsports took center stage.  


The announcement of the Formula Woman Nations Cup, set to premiere from December 13th to 15th 2024, marked a significant stride forward, promising to redefine the landscape for women in competitive racing and inspire generations to come.

Following her successful completion of studies at a university in the United Kingdom, Dr. Suaad embarked on her journey in the world of aviation. Her story took a significant turn when she joined the prestigious Emirates airline, assuming the role of the UAE’s inaugural female Emirati aircraft engineer. This pivotal moment marked not only her personal achievement but also a historic milestone for gender equality in the industry.


Al Shamsi’s unwavering dedication and exceptional aptitude allowed her to thrive in an environment that was predominantly male-dominated. As she continued to make her mark, her trajectory served as a source of inspiration and empowerment for countless other women aspiring to break the glass ceiling.


Kubi springer

Kubi Springer, named "Global Consultant of the Year, 2022" by the UK Consulting Magazine, with 25 years-experience in brand marketing, joined Avantgarde Dubai in 2022 as Brand Marketing Director.


Starting her career in 1996, Kubi has worked with Nike, L'Oreal, Facebook, TikTok, Beyonce, MTV, Diddy, Justin Timberlake, Rio Ferdinand, Rolls Royce Motor Cars and Aston Martin to name but a few. Kubi has been a keynote speaker for Facebook, British Vogue, Forbes Women's Summit, The Guardian, Labour Party Annual Business Dinner, Deloitte, New York University, London College of Fashion and Oxford University.


Kubi sits on the Formula Woman Nations Cup board, the board of the Veuve Clicquot 'Bold Woman Awards' and has a regular column in Harper's Bazaar.




Manisha Ram Kelkar has taken her passion for speed to new heights as she transitions into a National-level LGB Formula 4 race driver.


Balancing the thrill of the race track with her on-screen endeavors, this versatile actress is breaking barriers and leaving tire marks both in the world of cinema and racing. Manisha's journey from the silver screen to the fast-paced world of motorsports is a testament to her determination and the pursuit of diverse passions.


When she isn’t racing, Manisha is an Indian actress who has appeared in Bollywood films.

Alana Carter is a Canadian racing driver, she isn't just winning races, she's breaking barriers for drivers globally by competing in various series around the world.


Alana provides inspiration to all those who dare to pursue their passions and encourages everyone - regardless of age or gender - to stay competitive no matter what challenges stand ahead. Her mission is clear: to become one of the most successful professional racers globally while paving the way for other women in the industry through her inspiring story.
